GV II

Farmhouse. Probably C17, altered mid-C19 and mid-C20. Part painted rubble
and brick, part timber-framed and rendered with slate and plain tiled roofs
and brick stacks. L-plan. Main range of four bays aligned north-east/south-
west with single-bay wing to north-west. Two storeys. Framing: no framing
visible externally. Main south-east elevation: there are two 2-light casements
and a large 3-light casement on the ground floor and three first floor 2-light
casements. Ledged and battened door to left of centre. C19 external brick
chimney to left. North-east gable end has a 3-light casement on both floors
with a hoodmould and returns. Lean-to outshut with catslide roof to rear of
main range. Interior: internal wall-framing visible. Main ground floor room
in original part has large moulded ceiling beams dividing ceiling into compart-
ments.
