2 houses, now 1. C17 and C18, with later additions. Rubble, stone slate roof.
2 storeys, the 2 parts of different height, outshut to left-hand house, C20 outshut
to right-hand house. 3 and 2 first floor windows. Left-hand house: central door-
way with quoined jambs, triangular soffit to lintel with panel dated 1665, and
C20 boarded door. To left of door: fire window and remains of 2-light mullioned
window with 12-pane casement. To right of door: square window with ashlar surround
and 4-pane casement. First floor: 4-pane casements in ashlar surrounds. Shaped
kneelers, ashlar copings, end stacks. Right-hand house, of lesser height: central
doorway with quoined jambs. C20 glazed door. To right of door: remains of 2-
light mullioned window. Other windows have sandstone lintels and sills: to left
of door, 4-pane casements on each floor; to first floor right, sash window. Shaped
kneelers, ashlar coping and end stack to right. Interior: Traces of late C17
mid C18 stencilled wall painting found in one of the upstairs rooms (1985).
