II
Farmhouse. Early C19. Refronted mid C19. Brick and stucco,
colourwashed, with hipped pantile and gabled slate roofs.
Plinth, first floor band, cornice, coped parapet. 2 storeys, 3
bays, square main block plus rear wing. West front, mid C19, has
recessed central bay with Doric columned porch and entablature,
containing half glazed door with overlight. Flanked by single
round-cornered full height bay windows each with a single plain
sash. Above, 3 plain sashes, the central sash smaller. All
sashes have moulded architraves. South side has C19 flat roofed
addition with rounded corners, to left. C20 French window and
lean-to glazed porch, and to left, a plain sash. Above, to
right, a casement. To right, 2 storey rear wing, 3 bays, has to
right, a stable door flanked by single casements, all with
segmental heads. Beyond, to left, another casement and beyond
again, a Yorkshire sash. Above, 2 larger C19 cast iron casements
with segmental heads. To right again, stable, single storey, 3
bays, has to left, door flanked to right by casement with
segmental head. To right again, door flanked to right by a
Yorkshire sash. North side has off-centre C20 lean-to porch with
plain tile roof and single casement and door. To its right, 3
C19 casements in moulded architraves. Above, to left, a plain
sash. To right, 2 casements with moulded architraves. East
gable has, above, a pitch eye.
