SP 05 SW ABBOTS MORTON CP GOOM'S HILL

8/27 The Coaching House

GV II

House. Late C16 to early C17 with early C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-
frame with rendered infill, addition of painted brick, machine tile roof.
Two framed bays aligned east/west with gable-end stack; early C19 brick
cross-wing at east end. South front: one storey with attic lit by gable-
end window to right cross-wing, and two gabled dormers to left; ground floor;
two 3-light casements to left, C20 bow window to cross-wing; entrance to
right of centre of main range with C20 door. Framing: three square panels
high, although much has been replaced; trusses: collar with three struts
below and two curved raking struts in apex.
