Farmhouse. C17 with late C18 and mid-C19 alterations and additions. Part
timber-framed with brick infill, part brick, mainly machine-tiled roof.
Three framed bays aligned east/west, external chimney with off-sets to left
of south elevation and rear C18 range. Two storeys, attic and cellar.
Framing: four panels from sill to wall-plate, short straight braces in upper
corners, collar and tie-beam trusses at gable ends having two collars and
five struts to lower collar and two to upper collar. South front elevation:
windows are C20 leaded casements; ground floor has a 3-light window, first
floor has a 3-light window and a pair of single-light windows; central entrance
has a C20 gabled timber-framed porch and half-glazed door; brick chimney to
right of roof pitch. Gable ends have tiled weatherings between storeys and
above attic lights. Interior: main beams are stop-chamfered. Single-storey
rear additions include kitchen with baking ovens.
