House and service range, now house. Late C18 house, altered early C19
service range. House: brown brick in header bond, pantile roof; service
range rendered with Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, house with basement,
double depth, and of 3 bays; service range to right with 4 first-floor
windows. House: central 6-panel door below fanlight with traceried glazing
within early-mid C19 ashlar sandstone Roman Doric doorcase with segmental
open pediment. 16-pane sash windows with flush timber architraves and flat
arches, smaller louvred openings with flat arches to basement. Flush dentil
eaves course. Shaped ashlar kneelers and coping. End stacks. Service
range: ground floor, from left: segmental-arched doorway, now partly blocked
to form window; two 20-pane sash windows; board doors to carriageway. First
floor, from left: 6-pane, two 9-pane and 6-pane sash windows, all unequally
hung. Eaves band. Central ridge stack. Rear: house has matching elevation
to front, without basement, and with central part-glazed door under round-
arched landing window with intersecting glazing bars. Interior: house has
open-well staircase with stick balusters. It seems likely that, although
the exterior of the house is almost untouched, extensive alterations took
place in the early-mid C19.
