Late C18, early and mid C19. Large (east-west) 7 bay timber frame with aisles,
attached at the west end to an earlier (north-south) frame of 6 bays with aisles, with
an extension on its south end of a large shed, to form a massive L-shape. The older
middle barn has straight struts to purlins, tie beams, and wind-braces; tile roofing
with small 1/2-hips, gables to the entrances and brick walls (part with exposed framing)
the larger unit has a Queen Post truss, hipped roofing at ends and over the
cantilevered entrances (2 on each side) and weather-boarded walling. The shed has a
tiled roof, red brick walling in Flemish Garden Wall bond, with blue headers. The
'interior' face having irregular openings, a gabled hay-loft door, and a small gabled
pigeon cote.
