SO 43 NW MADLEY CP -

4/65 Vicarage


GV II

Vicarage. Circa 1830. Brick with tiled and Welsh slate hipped roof, brick
stacks. Two storeys. South elevation has three segmentally-headed openings,
the right one blind, the others with glazing bar sashes, central entry with
two detached columns supporting flat-roofed porch with cornice, six-panelled
door with transom light. Interior has early C19 staircase with stick balusters
and oak hand rail, fluted architraves with paterae to top corners. Included
for group value important complement to the adjoining churchyard and
Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (qv).
