Row of 5 cottages, early C19, though not all of same build. Iron stone,
slate roofs (except No. 30 - thatched). No. 22 is The Forge, 2 storeys,
built in 2 parts, a single bay to left separated by a straight joint from
a further section containing the door, a window and double door entry to
forge. Casement windows and date stone, 1832, above. No. 24, a single
unit 2 storey cottage of same build. No. 26 also single unit and 2 storeys,
date 1823. 28 - 30 2 distinct builds, 28 is 2 storeyed, 2 unit, with
entry to rear through passage. No. 30 is 1½ storeyed, 2 units with central
doorway and 3 dormers above. Over the door a carved lintel with human
head partially obscured by modern porch. Casement windows throughout,
some renewed. Brick stacks.
