Row of 5 cottages. Circa 1830. Chert random rubble hipped triple Roman tiled roof,
6 brick stacks, some renewed. One and a half storeys, upper storey unlit on south
(entrance) front. Plan: originally 10 one-up-one-down cottages. now 5 dwellings. C20
many paned wooden casements, cement lintels, 5 weather boarded, gabled porches, asbestos
slate roofs.Upper storey lit only at rear. This row of cottages was for the elderly and
poor of the parish, built and paid for by parish funds, and is included primarily for
historical interest.
