House. C16 or early C17 with some later alterations. Finely coursed squared
rubble, heightened in brick, Welsh slate roof. L plan, two storeyed. Main
range of two units, one bay to left of door containing a 3-light stone ovolo
moulded mullioned window to ground floor. Doorway in chamfered 4-centred stone
architrave, with hood mould. To its right, one 4-light stone mullioned window
with drop ended hood mould. Single upper window, a 4-light wood mullioned casement..
Gable wing projects to right with one blocked upper window in gable, a 3-light
ovolo moulded stone mullion with hood mould. Another blocked stone mullioned
window on its outer face, and two 3-light wood mullioned casements on its inner
face, one on each floor, the lower in a stone architrave. Evidence that the
building was raised from a single storey in ironstone rubble before the later
brick heightening. Possible cruck truss within.
