France memorial and railed enclosure approximately 2m north-west of Plealey Methodist Church

Chest tomb and railed enclosure. Circa 1830. Limestone. Rectangular plan.
Moulded plinth and capping with chamfered top ledger, fluted corner pilasters.
Moulded inscription panel on south side commemorates Richard France (died
1829) and one on west his son, also Richard, died 1869; further inscriptions
to other members of family on north and east sides. Cast-iron railed enclosure
with spear-headed finials. Richard France, the younger, was the founder of
Plealey Methodist Church (q.v.).
