Incorrectly shown on OS map as Rectory. House. C16, enlarged C18, mid C19 and restored late C20. Red sandstone random
rubble (render removed), Slate roofs, hipped to right behind parapet South front, brick stacks. Open hall house
extended South probably C18, and North mid C19, earlier entrance on South front now on West. South front: 2-storeys,
3:1 bays, casement windows with glazing bars under hood moulds, ground floor Venetian windows flanking glazed door with
full height canted bay, 3-light sash windows. Entrance now on left return. Interior: open hall house West end lying
North-South, four pairs of jointed crucks, exposed windbraces, probably ceiled late C16, half of 8 panel moulded
compartment ceiling remains, plaster overmantel upstairs on South wall, coat of arms in strapwork cartouche with
figures, plaster decoration on partition. Entire diningroom, mid C19 painted decoration of fairies, fruit and flowers,
views of the locality etc, charming amateur work of quite a high standard. Little Court was the rectory until the early
C20.
