House. C16, extended in C17, extended and altered in C19. Timber frame,
roughcast. Tiled roof. 4 bay hall range with 2 wings extending to rear,
originally perhaps a half H on plan, cross wing added to left, C19 bay
added to right. All 2 storeys. Entrance front all, in one plane has
C19 appearance. Recessed door to right of hall range with hooded
architrave, ground floor left 2 oriels with horizontal sliding sashes,
first floor two 3 light horizontal sliding sashes, moulded eaves to
parapet with steeply pitched roof behind. Gable fronted wing to left has
an entrance, 2 and 3 light casements, exposed purlins in gable, slightly
lower ridge. Early cross axial stacks between hall and wing to rear
right and at left end at junction with later wing, part rebuilt. Left
end lean-to outshut with red brick to road. C19 bay to right has a
ground floor oriel and a first floor 3 light horizontal sliding sash,
coved eaves to separate roof with a taller ridge. To rear: gable ended
wing to left projects from C19 bay with ridge as on main range, small
pane horizontal sliding sashes and a 3 light leaded pane casement, brick
lean-to added on left end. Catslide roof over continuous lean-to outshut
to rear of hall range. Extending to rear right of hall range is a large
2 bay wing with a gable to rear. Ground floor later brick with small
casements, moulded bressumer to jettied first floor with a small pane
horizontal sliding sash, 2 light casements in returns, brick lean-to on
left return. Later wing to rear right has exposed purlins in gable,
lean-to outshut addition. Interior: C17 panelled room and staircase.
