House. C18 or earlier, cased in brick in early C19. Wing
extended in 1930s. Timberframed plastered rear wing. Front
block faced in grey brick colourwashed. Steep roofs now slated.
A double-pile plan 2 storeys house under a single pitched roof
facing W, with a long narrow plastered rear wing, the lower part
of which is colonnaded next the house. Projecting gable chimneys
to front range. 2 upper windows but central window also on
Ground Floor. Lean-to tiled open timber porch on left to 4-panel
half-glazed door. 2-light timber mullioned windows to front. 3-
light flush casements to rear wing. An interesting historic
village house. Part of the group at the top of the High Street
in the Conservation Area.
