Late C17 and early C18 exterior features. Building may be older.
Timberframe plastered under steep old red tile hipped roof. Rendered
plinth, coved eaves cornice. 2 houses, the larger,No 24 on S, has 2
windows on each floor and central door. Flush box sashes with 10/10 panes
and square proportion. 4 panel door with heavy frame and architrave.
Triangular pedimented moulded hood with frieze and plain consoles. Matching
door treatment at No 22 but 6 panel flush door, upper 2 panels glazed. 2
windows to 1st floor. N window as No 24 but narrower window on S over door
with 6/6 paned sashes renewed. Door on S with only 1 window on Gd floor
similar to those at No 24. Large central chimney nearer to N end. Rear
wings to both houses. Part of mixed architectural group on W side of
street.
