Estate cottage. Probably late C18, eaves raised 1825 (datestone) with minor later additions and alterations. Roughly coursed limestone rubble; conical slate roof with slates becoming smaller to top; circular stone stack to centre. Circular plan. Two storeys with crude dentilled eaves cornice. Small C19 and C20 casements, those to first floor directly below eaves, with late C19 canted bay window (former shop front) to right of front entrance. Four-panel door under gabled timber porch. Datestone "FM/1825" above.
Interior: exposed joists and stone fireplace to front ground-floor room. Late C20 timber lean-to to left is not of special architectural interest.
