Farmhouse. Late C18. Red brick on dressed grey sandstone plinth.
Plain tile roof. Two storeys and gable-lit attic. Chamfered plinth,
plat bands above ground-and first-floor windows and parapeted gable ends
with chamfered sandstone copings and shaped stone kneelers. Integral
brick end stacks. Three bays; segmental-headed glazing bar sashes with
painted stone cills. Central door with six beaded flush panels (top two
glazed) with moulded architrave and gabled lattice wooden porch. Chamfered
rectangular date stone above central first-floor window (illegible at
time of survey - January 1987). The front looks as though it might
have been refenestrated at some time (see lines of closers each side
of left-hand windows). Two-light wooden attic windows in gable ends.
Two-storey red sandstone kitchen wing at rear with slate roof and brick
ridge stack. Interior not inspected. Timber-framed malt house adjoining
rear wing at right angles.
