House. Late C16 former open hall house, C17 inserted floor and chimney,
C20 E extension. Timber frame, roughcast with steep pitched roof now
slated. A 1 1/2-storeys house with gable to the road facing N. 3 flush
casement windows and swept dormer at eaves. Former E external gable
chimney enclosed in E extension, separate internal chimney heating W bay
with stair beside it. Interior has exposed timbers with axial chamfered
beams, jowled posts, heavy straight braces to tie-beams, straight braces
in side walls, clasped-purlin roof on trusses with collars and
queen-struts.
