House, now 2 houses. Early C18, altered and divided in C19. Chequered
red brick with black headers and steep pitched roof now of slate. A
2-storeys and attics, 2-cells, end chimneys plan house, set back a
little from road, facing W on corner with Mill Lane, with former rear
stair tower flanked by C19 2-storey outshuts under extended rear
roofslope at lower pitch. Internal gable chimneys at N and S. W front
has plat band and flat painted soffit to projecting front eaves with
brick corbels at each end. Symmetrical front with 2 windows to each
floor and now 2 doors in middle. 2 box dormers on roofslope with
casements. Wide recessed sash windows with 8/8 panes, lintel heads on
1st floor, flat gauged arched heads on ground floor. Plank doors. Plat
band on original rear stair tower with 2 casement windows.
