Pair of cottages, being the (north) Lodge to Blackmoor House. Mid C19. Walls of
ashlar malmstone with relieving arches, Bath stone quoins and cills. Tiled roof
with a gable above each window, the south east side being larger, and each has a
bargeboard with pierced decoration; massive brick stacks on tapered stone bases.
Asymmetrical pair, appearing as a single unit; front (north east) of 1 storey
and attic, 3 windows. Casements. There is an open gabled porch with a timber
frame, tiled roof with bargeboard, leading to a Tudor arch and a recessed
entrance, having a doorway at each side. The other elevations have similar
form, the rear with 2 large gables and single-storeyed service wings.
