Grotto. Circa 1806. Random rubble and ashlar Doulting stone. 2 rectangular areas set at right angles, enclosed by 3
metre high walls with copings and crocketted pinnacles at the angles. To the left an open screen wall of 3-segmental
4-centre cusped arches quatrefoils in spandrels, and moulded jambs and columns. Contains ornamental rock garden. Built
into south east quoin 2 carved stones, probably medieval. To the south, a 3 metre high random rubble Doulting stone
screen wall along west side of formal garden running South and returning West to Park Lodge (qv). Total length about
170 metres.
