House. Late C18 with C19 additions. Coursed gritstone with ashlar details
and stone slate roof. A double-pile plan of 2 storeys with 6 first-floor
windows. Central 6-panel door under a moulded, eared architrave with
pulvinated entablature over. A Venetian window to the left with moulded
architrave and 4-pane sash. To right of the entrance, a rectangular sash
with moulded architrave and glazing bars. To right again: a large canted
bay window with castellated cornice. First-floor windows. left to right:
3 sashes in plain architraves with linking band at sill level;
2 similar windows but set lower in wall; and a narrow sash with
plain stone sill and lintel above canted bay window to right. Moulded eaves
cornice, ashlar coping and shaped kneelers. 3 narrow stacks, at left gable
and on ridge, and a large stack at the right gable.
