Obelisk. Probably 1733. Ashlar. Square base approximately 3.5 metres
wide. 2-stage plinth with moulded chamfers, approximately 2.5 metres
high. Tall shaft built in diminishing courses, now heavily weathered.
Height approximately 12 metres. This may be the 'pillar' referred to in
the Robinson family letters (Boynton p 102, n 5). The estate formerly
