House, C17, remodelled circa 1720. Stuccoed, rusticated quoins, pantile roof. "T"-shaped on plan, refronted with
symmetrical palladian facade. 3-storeys, 7-bays, glazing bar sash windows in moulded architraves, on first floor with
alternate cornices and pediments. Central door opening with semi-circular head, moulded surround in pedimented Ionic
doorcase, half glazed door. Moulded and indented cornice, ashlar parapet with turned baluster panels directly over
windows. Returns and rear show evidence of earlier house, having stone mullion windows, some of cruciform type.
Interior contains C18 panelling plasterwork and fireplaces to rooms to each side of entrance hall. Depressed arch
fireplaces to rear kitchen and on third floor further evidence of earlier original house. Stairwell to rear contains
fine C17 oak staircase of large proportions, heavily moulded handrail, large newels with ball finials, elaborately
carved side panels between each.
