Farmhouse and attached outbuildings. Mid C18; extended in 1789 (on lintel),
and in C19. Built for George Sigsworth and extended by Isaac Waind. House
of herringbone-tooled sandstone; outbuildings of tooled sandstone; pantile
roof. Originally 2-cell, gable-entry plan, later extended to right; turf
house added to left and barn to right. 2-storey, 3-window front to house;
turf house of 2 storeys; barn of 1 1/2 storeys. House: half-glazed, panelled
door beneath canopy to right of centre. Windows throughout are 2-light,
4-pane casements, with stone sills and diagonally tooled lintels. Tooled
lintel over door inscribed:

Coved eaves course to left of door and stepped to right. End and centre
stacks. Turf house: no openings to front. Coped gable and shaped kneeler
to left. Barn: plank door beneath diagonally tooled lintel. Coped gable
and shaped kneeler to right. Rear: chimney stack to right inscribed:

Interior: ground-floor rooms to left of passage have chamfered beams with
run-out stops, and chamfered beams.
