Barn and cowhouse. Late C17/early C18. Timber-frame on high rubble plinth,
weatherboarded, originally with woven infill, stone slate roof. Four framed
bays, 2 north bays forming cowhouse, other 2 bays barn, the north bay forming
threshing floor. Cowhouse of 2 storeys, with loft over, loft door in front
over wide entry to cowhouse, cart entry to barn to right of centre. Framing:
2 square panels high; trusses have 3 queen struts to collar, with addition of
V-struts in apex of south gable; north gable of rubble with built-in truss
which has 2 raking struts. (RCHM 1, p 216, no 21).
