Detached cottage, C17. Rendered and whitewashed with thatched roof, hipped to
the right. Rendered stacks to right end and along ridge, left. 2 storeys,
3 window range. 2 and 3-light casements with glazing bars. Central plank door
in thatched porch. Further plank door to right end. One of the few remaining
early houses on High Street. (RCHM, Dorset, vol.IV, p.109. no.8)
