Formerly large detached house, now 3 houses. Early C18; major
c1800 enlargement and remodelling; later Cl9 north east wing.
Ashlar and coursed rubble limestone; ashlar chimneys; stone slate
roof. Two-storey, double pile plan. Two 2-storey rear wings,
yard between with later infill. South front: fenestration 2:1:2,
outer 12-pane sashes in plain openings. Central Venetian window
to upper floor with glazing bar sashes. Central pedimented
doorway with attached Ionic columns and dentil enriched frieze; 8-
panel fielded door. Flanking 8-pane sashes. Plain plinth and
upper floor level band. Moulded cornice with blocking course.
Hipped roof with moulded ridge-mounted chimneys. West side: 3-
window fenestration as to front. East side: 2-window
fenestration, altered to ground floor. Later Cl9 rear wing to
right with scattered 12-pane sash fenestration; tall C20 rebuilt
e-aves-mounted chimney with moulded cap. Rear: full gable end to
original early C18 wing to right. Sash window fenestration to
courtyard infill.
Interior: open well stairacase with cantilevered treads; some
decorative iron balusters interspersed in stick balustrade.
Matching opposed doorcases with fluting, central entablature panel
with guttae.
