ST 8026 GILLINGHAM CHURCH WALK

Cottage, probably c. 1838. Ashlar with slate roof. Hipped to the right
and gabled with a stone coping to the left. Brick stack to left gable.
2 storeys , 2 window range. 3-light C20 steel framed casement windows
with horizontal glazing bars. Central door way, has a 4-centred head and
a part-glazed door. Ground floor openings have labelswith blank
rectangular stops. The building incorporates various fragments of medieval
carving, probably taken from the Church at the time of its rebuilding in
1838. Appears to be of the same build as the pair of cottages adjacent
to the east. (q.v.)
