A mediaeval timber-framed and plastered house, probably of C15 origin. Originally
with cross wings on the north-east and south-west ends. The south-west wing was
later destroyed and the roofs hipped on the south-west side. The north-east wing
is jettied on the upper storey, with the timber framing exposed. 2 storeys and
attics. C20 casement windows. Roof tiled, with an attic gable to the main block.
The Cl7 central chimney stack has been rebuilt above the roof level. (RCHM 6).
