Stable Block 70m North of Hoveton Hall

Stables. 1809-12. Gault brick with slate roofs. Forms 3 sides of courtyard.
Central 2 storey carriage house in 5 bays, the central 3 bays broken forward
under pediment. 2 double carriage doors in central bays under single
segmental arch. 3 casements above with glazing bars. Side bays each have
pedestrian entrance door with overlight below first floor casement. Hipped
roof with central polygonal open cupola. Central block linked to stables
at right angles. Single storey. 4 loose box doors with overlights, between
which are 3 casement windows. Hipped roofs. Stable block to west side of
courtyard altered by insertion of sliding C20 garage doors incorporating
the 2 southerly loose box doors and rising to the same height.
