House, now divided into cottages. Dated 1603 on lintel of doorway. Galleted
flint with brick dressings. Pantile roof. 2-cell plan, though now altered
internally, a later addition to side and outshut to rear. Facade to west of
4 bays. 2 storeys. Left hand bay added probably in C18 but with some early
brickwork; doorway; casement to ground and first floors. Brick quoins before
remaining 3 regular bays. Flint plinth with brick coping. Central doorway
having chamfered brick reveals; moulded doorframe. Overlight with 2 principal
and 3 minor mullions; moulded brick pediment over. To right of the door a
4-light brick mullioned and transomed window with ovolo mouldings, having
remains of render. Small stair light to right, now blocked. To left of door
a C19 casement in earlier chamfered opening. All ground floor lights under
moulded brick pediments. Upper left hand window C19 in chamfered earlier
opening. Above door a 2-light brick mullioned window. To right of this a
4-light brick mullioned window. Extreme right a small blocked light with
remains of rendered reveals. Brick dentil eaves cornice. Moulded kneeler
to right hand stepped gable. Left hand parapet gable. Off-centre axial stack
and 2 gable-end stacks, that to right having 2 octagonal shafts, part now lost.
2 blocked lights to right hand gable with moulded brick pediments and remains
of render to hollow chamfer reveals, that to left has brick mullion in situ.
Interior. Brick stair beside stack. Ovolo mouldings to beams with jewel
stops.
