Former farmhouse now large detached house. C17; enlarged in C19,
and altered in C20. Random rubble limestone; ashlar quoins and
dressings; rubble chimneys with moulded caps; stone-slate roof.
Principally 2 storey with attic; formerly central staircase hall
with one room laterally, but now C20 staircase hall at back;
single storey with attic service wing attached at lower end and
returning to rear. Front of 3 windows, all recessed chamfered
mullioned and 3-light except for ground floor to left of central
doorway which is of 2 + 2-lights with king mullion; single-light
above doorway; continuous drip mould below upper floor windows;
C20 entrance porch added at lower corner; 2 hipped roof dormers.
Upper gable end with single window to each floor: 3-light with
hoodmoulding in ground floor altered to French windows in C20; 2-
light to upper floor with hoodmoulding and sinqle-light to attic;
cross-gablet ridge tile to gables of main range. Flat roof to
back wing with metal casements and concrete lintels: all C20.
Service wing much altered in C20; part of bread-oven exists in
former end gable; scattered fenestration: all metal casements
with concrete lintels; one hipped dormer to front.
