Lodge. 1841 on gutter head. J.C. and G. Buckler for William Howe Windham.
Tudor style. Brick with stone dressings. Shingle roof. 2-cell plan. East
(road) front gabled. Brick plinth. Canted bay window of 5 lights with stone
mullions and transom. Stone cornice, stone-dressed parapet. Shaped gable
with stone panel bearing arms of W.H. Windham. Gable surmounted by lion.
Door and single light window to north face; parapet. Axial stack with 2
polygonal shafts and star heads. Shaped gable to west with stack having
single shaft. Plinth with iron railing attached to north wall; stone-dressed
gatepier with coat of arms. Iron gate with scrolled head.
