Red brick building with stone dressing erected in 1862. A good example of its
period and almost completely unaltered. It comprises a central block with gabled
wings at the east and west ends, with stopped gables. The windows are mainly
original iron latticed casements. The west wing has a large "Gothic" traceried
window and a clock above it inscribed V.R. with the dates 1837 and 1887. Two
gabled porches project on the front. Roof tiled, with 3 octagonal shafted chimney
stacks. On the east wing there is a central dormer window with stopped gable
and on the west wing, a small bellcote.
