House. C16 and C17, partly refaced in C18. Timber-frame and brick.
Pantile roof. C16 2-cell plan with C17 3-cell lobby entrance type plan
at right angles forming an L-shaped plan. South facade of 3 bays, 2
storeys. Ground floor of C18 brick with 2 C20 casements and a C20 plank
door. 3 C20 casements to first floor in rendered wall. C16 brick to
west gable return. Parapet gable with brick kneeler. Gable end stack.
West gable wall with polygonal angle turrets. 2 blocked lights to first
floor with chamfered reveals and remains of render in imitation of ashlar;
moulded brick pediments. Small inset panel to base of stack. Projecting
south from the east end of this range is a further 2 storey range. Its
west face has C18 brick to ground floor; rendered upper floor. One C20
casement to each floor. Gable end wall has a C20 casement to ground,
first and attic floors in original openings in C18 brick wall. C20 barge
board. Axial stack. Stair outshut, probably C19, to rear wall of this
range. Interior. C16 wing. Timber frame exposed. Brick stair beside
stack. 2 blocked windows in west gable, first floor, each have 2 4-
centred arch lights of moulded brick. Diamond mullion in north wall.
C17 wing. Ground floor room with ovolo moulded spine beam with bar stop.
2 service rooms with stud walling and doorways; cellar under one room.
Butt-purlin roofs with arched braces to C16 and C17 wings.
