House. Circa 1870-1880. Plastered rubble; stone rubble stacks with C19 brick
tops; slate roof.
Double depth plan house facing south. Main block has central staircase plan with
front and back rooms either side. Carriageway at left end has chambers over under
the same roof as main block. 2 storeys. Main block has symmetrical 3-window front
about central doorway. 6-panel front door, overlight with patterns of glazing bars,
panelled reveals and a doorcase comprising panelled pilasters and scroll consoles
carrying a small flat hood with moulded soffit; stone steps and C19 cast iron
railings with ornate heads. Doorway flanked by canted bay windows containing horned
single-pane sashes. Tripartite sashes above and central narrow sash are similar.
Sash to chamber over carriageway has glazing bars. Gabled-ended roof.
Interior: includes much original joinery and fittings. Included for group value.
