Almshouses for 8 poor women, founded 1604, rebuilt in 1823 by a pupil of Soane.
One storey in ashlar. Welsh slate roof. Street front has 2 mullioned 2-light
windows and a 4-centred doorway with door of 6 panels, all with moulded dripmoulds.
Inscription along street frontage: 'Snowden's Hospital, Rebuilt 1823, H P Westley,
Mayor'. 8 cottages behind with no outstanding feature.

Nos 13 and 14 form a group.
