3 adjacent inscribed roadside milestones. Late C18-early C19. Granite and
Portland stone. All plain slabs with elliptical heads. On left a broad granite
stone inscribed 'Exeter 11 miles, 2 furlongs, 82 poles'. Central narrow stone of
Portland stone inscribed '11 miles, 38 poles from the centre of Exe Bridge'. Right
side a narrow stone of Portland stone inscribed 'Here ends Exeter Trust'. 2 of
these are Turnpike Trust milestones.
