II
Farmhouse C17 refronted circa 1700. Two storeys, red brick and black pantiled.
Rusticated quoins, and pilasters flanking entrance door. Off-centre doorway with
wooden doorcase, pilasters and 6-panel door, part glazed. Sash windows with flat
brick arches. Timber modillion cornice, parapet eaves, off-set axial stack, and
former gable stack to right, built before C18 extension. C19 lean-to at rear,
pebbledashed, and with sash windows. Large fireplace openings to hall and parlour
with bressummers. C17 timber joists and beams. Lobby entry and winding stair.
Double framed roof. Brick wall at the front with saddle back coping and timber
and wrought iron gate.
