A C15 timber-framed and plastered hall house but much altered in the C17 and
later. Renovated in the C20, with pargetted patterns. There were originally
cross wings at the north and south ends, the north cross wing remains but the
south one has been incorporated under the roof of the main block. The north
wing is 2 storeys and the main block is 1 storey and attics. The 1st storey
windows are casements with glazing bars and the ground storey windows are double-hung sash with glazing bars. The north wing has a large ground storey bay window and
the main block has 2 smaller bays. Roof tiled, with 3 gabled dormer windows
and an old chimney stack to the north wing. The interior of the main block
has been partly opened up to reveal crown posts of the hall roof. (RCHM 8).
