Very badly damaged and almost entirely rebuilt. Single storey frontage in Heavitree
stone, mostly coursed rubble. 4 window, 2, 3 and 4 light modern lattice casements.
Slate roof. Interior has wrought-iron gate with entwined initials "J. R.". Probably
the Gatehouse to the Abbots' Lodge, which stood directly behind it.
All the listed buildings in Cathedral Close form a group.
