House. C17 or earlier rear range, circa 1700 front range with later alterations
and additions. Timber framed, C18 red brick returns and rear, scratch date
1708. C19 red brick facade. Red plain tiled roof. Right, left and rear
chimney stacks. 2 storeys and attics. 2 flat headed dormers with small paned
horizontal sliding sashes, 3 window range of vertically sliding sashes with
glazing bars. Central C19 red brick gabled porch, fish scale slates. Part
glazed door with coloured glass to margins. Interior, front range, complete
circa 1700 frame, staggered side purlin roof with carpenters marks, boxed in
bridging joists, panelled and vertically boarded doors with original
ironmongery, 2 bedroom C18 cast iron basket grates with moulded surrounds, large
open red brick fireplace with mantel beam to ground floor left room and moulded
surround to ground floor right. Later horizontal boarded walls to some rooms.
Slatted light to landing. Stop chamfered bridging joists to rear range,
panelled and vertically boarded doors with ironmongery, slatted door vent to
former dairy, original shelves in larder, brick floors, large fire surrounds
with mantel beam over to kitchen.
