A Cl6-Cl7 red bruck house with Dutch gables at the north and south ends. A wing
extends to the west at the south end. 2 storeys and attics. 4 window range on
the east front, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in plain reveals. A central
brick porch has a Dutch gable. Roof tiled, mansard, with 3 gabled dormer windows
and a chimney stack with grouped rectangular shafts. This house was the home
of Samuel Vassal in the early C17 and remained in the family until the death of
Asser Vassal the last of the line (1808).
