House. C16 or earlier origin with later alterations and additions. Timber
framed and rough rendered with brick facing to ground floor. Red plain tiled
roofs. 2 large red brick chimney stacks with attached octagonal shafts to
right. 3 gables. Wing to rear right. 2 storeys and attics. 3 window range
of 4 light vertically sliding sashes excepting left gable which has no attic
window. Moulded band to first floor. Off centre left, panelled door with
lights in moulded brick surround with flat canopy and brackets over. Rainwater
head dated 1765. The historian Peter Muilman owned and lived in this house.
Reputed to contain C17 panelling and stop chamfered and moulded ceiling beams.
