House. Possibly medieval hall, floored in late C16, extended
early C18, altered early Cl9. Cased in timber frame and coursed
squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings,
concrete tiled roof having raised stone coped gables, 2 ashlar
gable stacks, one with a moulded cornice. L-plan. 2 storey,
irregular 4 bay front having off-centre 6 panelled door with
fanlight, rusticated door surround, the semi-circular head being
wider than the door opening. To left a single and to right 2
glazing bar sashes, those on the right being larger. To first
floor are 4 similar windows at 2 levels, all windows have ashlar
lintels with keystones. Interior. Earlier rear wing has massive
beams and fireplace bressumer. The dining room has a deeply
chamfered beam with pyramid stop. Position of original screens
passage is clear from the change in floor level and secondary

panelled doors. Early C19 stick baluster stair with wreathed
