Lodge and gate pier. Early C19, probably by Thomas Cundy Senior. Stuccoed
brick with hipped slate roof. In plan, two rectangular blocks linked by
smaller block, with porch to north (carriageway) side. Street (west) front:
one storey, moulded cornice and parapet, a window to each block has a glazing
bar sash with pediment above and blind balustrade below; blind wall between
two blocks and to right and left have semi-circular headed niches. Entrance
to left return front has two Doric columns and half-glazed door. Gate pier
square plan, joined to lodge by a plain overthrow.
