HAGLEY PARK
The Old Dairy about 20 yards north of Hagley Hall

Dairy, now summer house. Mid- to late C18. Sandstone ashlar and shallow-
pitched slate roofs with small ridge stack. Rectangular plan built in form
or a Tuscan amphiprostyle tetrastyle temple; smooth columns with pronounced
entasis, simple entablature; 6-panelled door at centre of inner wall at both
ends. Half-glazed door in south side and entrance to basement. Interior:
three-bay blind round-headed arcading in side walls with niches inserted in
outer bays. Tiled to impost level. The building is situated in the private
garden to the north of Hagley Hall (qv).
