4/19 Ha-ha and retaining wall
to south of Orangery

GV II
Ha-ha, retaining wall and steps. C19 ha-ha with possibly earlier retaining
wall. Ashlar. Bastion-shaped ha-ha and horizontal retaining wall, both
with central flight of steps. Ha-ha approximately 1.5 metres high, wall
approximately 1 metre high. Ha-ha has curved coping and piers at angles and
openings with pyramidal caps culminating in faceted finials. Wall has
chamfered plinth and moulded coping with piers at ends surmounted by similar
finials. Wall crowned by scrolls to sides of steps.
